The Dedas
The Dedas is a name we used to refer to the twins when they were little. It started because Lael called Caeden Deda. That was her version of Caeden. He went along with it, never seeming to mind. Then one day he started calling her Deda too. Uh-oh, that was the beginnng of the end. She did not like being called Deda. She would get so mad, telling him, “No! My name is Lael!!!!” So, then it became a game for Caeden, he would do it just to annoy her, and this was when they were 2 years old! I clearly remember one day riding in the van he was just talking to her, and called her Deda. She instantly became enraged, “Deda is not my name, My name is LAEL!” He said, “Ok Deda” They went back and forth a few times, with Lael getting more and more angry. Finally, just to end it, but still to make his point, Caeden said it one last time, under his breath, “Deda”
