Chace is my first-born, my first baby. He came at a time in my life when I wasn’t quite ready for a baby, not quite ready to be a Mom, not quite ready to give up my ‘single girl living the college life’ life. But, God had a plan for me. That plan was to grow up, and grow up quick because I now had a beautiful baby boy depending on me to make his life perfect. I was extremely lucky (and I do thank my lucky stars every day) that I had supportive parents who allowed me to move back in with them during my pregnancy and for however long afterwards I wanted. But, they were also there for me to offer help, advice, love and guidance as I learned how to raise a son. Chace was a joy right from the start. He was a great baby, always ate anything put in front of him, he slept well, and was just happy all the time. Time flew by and before I knew it he was attending the preschool where I worked after graduating from college. Life was good and then it got better when Todd stepped in to be Chace’s Dad. We have been happily creating a family together since Chace was 4. Now he has grown into an amazing young man of 16 and I can’t wait to see what incredible things he will do as an adult in a few short years.
