Trick or Treat

Trick or Treating was almost painful!  Caeden got tired after about the 6th house and wanted to go home.  Todd had left with the kids to meet Chris and some others to start trick or treating.  I stayed behind to give out candy and then we were gonna swap.  But, I decided to just put out a huge bowl of candy and a sign saying to grab a handful.  I figured some kids would come along and dump the whole thing in their bag, but they didn’t.  There was still candy when I got home.  Anyway, as I’m walking up the street to find everyone, I meet Todd and Caeden heading toward home.  I convinced them to keep going and meet back up with the group.  Grudgingly Caeden agreed.  After we met them though, Lael was not in a great mood either.  I kept trying to get them stop and let me get a picture, but nobody wanted to cooperate.  I did get one decent one of Caeden and the best of Lael I got was her back as she kept saying “I don’t want to have my picture taken!”  I can’t believe them!  When I was little, we went ALL over the neighborhood!!!  The more candy the better.  They figured they had enough and were done.  Oh well, there is always next year.  Of course, soon they will be old enough to strike out on their own like Chace did with his friends this year and it will be a whole different story!

Todd had planned on dressing up as a dude from the Blue Man Group.  But, he had to work Saturday morning early, so he decided painting himself blue might not be the best option.  So, he dug out his old chief’s uniform from the Navy and wore it.  Everyone was surprised and impressed that he could still wear it!  I went as a biker chick.  Dylan didn’t even realize that I was dressed up though, so I guess it wasn’t that great of a costume.
