Bailey’s Bananas
We all know that hiding inside Bailey’s fluffy body is a super Wonder-Dog capable of getting any food that she sets her mind to. This time, the coveted food was a bunch of bananas that Todd hung from a shelf in our laundry room. They were nearing the overripe stage and we had joked about him ‘forgetting’ them and them going to waste. I don’t know if Bailey heard us talking or what and decided that just wouldn’t do – she couldn’t let perfectly good fruit go to waste. So, she waited until we were all gone and then miracously launched her 45+ pound rotund beagle body 4 feet off the ground to snag a banana from the bunch. All that was left were two hanging bananas (goodness only knows why she left those) and a piece of the banana peel. Aimee was concerned that the banana peel would plug up her behind and she wouldn’t be able to go. I knew that would not be the case. Bailey the Wonder-Dog can eat ANYTHING, process it with her iron pipes and expel it from her other end just as it were regular old doggie kibble. Here are the 2 bananas she left behind. Notice the bananas are hanging higher than the light switch. When we all get to Heaven where dogs can talk I am going to ask her how in the world she did it all these years.
