Lakauai {Life is Good}

I got an amaryllis bulb at Southern Family Market when they were going out of business, just because it was 75% off, I think it cost $1.25.  Anyway, I found a cute pot and planted it and didn’t think much else about it.  Then all of  a sudden, it morphed into a growing machine!  I think it grew an inch a day until it reached about 2.5 feet tall.  Then it put out 4 big buds, which opened into the most beautiful, vibrant, red amaryllis flowers I’d ever seen.  Now, I have to figure out what to do with it to ensure that it blooms again next year.
